The Designer Slat Wall, Without the Carpenter
A wood slat accent wall is one of the easiest ways to make a room look expensive. Normally it means cutting and fixing dozens of wooden battens.
This comes as one self-adhesive roll, 15.7 inches wide and 118 inches long, so the slats run in one continuous line from floor to ceiling. Peel off the backing, line it up and press it on.

How Much Do I Need?
Each roll is 15.7 inches wide and 118 inches (9.8 ft) long, so you work out how many you need from the width of the wall. Measure the wall from side to side in inches and divide by 15.7, then round up.
Each roll covers a strip up to 9.8 ft tall, enough for floor to ceiling on a standard 8 or 9 ft wall. Trim the excess at the bottom with a utility knife.

How many rolls do I need?
Measure your wall from side to side in inches and divide by 15.7, then round up. A 10 ft wide wall takes 8 rolls. Each roll runs 9.8 ft top to bottom.
Is it real wood?
No. It is a lightweight PVC foam panel with a wood grain finish and slat grooves, which is what makes it light enough to stick straight onto the wall.
Will the joins between rolls show?
The rolls meet along a slat line, so when they are butted tight together the join sits in a groove and blends into the pattern.
Can I cut it around outlets and switches?
Yes. Turn off the power, remove the cover plate, stick the panel over the opening, cut it out with a sharp utility knife and refit the cover plate.
Can I use it on a textured wall?
It needs a smooth wall. On textured, bumpy or popcorn finishes the adhesive cannot grip properly and the panel may lift.
Can it go behind my stove?
No. Do not install it directly behind a gas hob or cooktop, around a fireplace or near open flame. PVC and vinyl can warp or melt with heat. Use it on the rest of the backsplash and keep ceramic tile, glass or stainless steel behind the stove.
Can I take it down later?
It is made to stay up. On painted drywall, taking it down can lift paint or the paper face of the wall, so plan for some touch-up work if you ever remove it.
Why should I buy all my packs at once?
Colors can vary slightly between production batches. Ordering everything together keeps the whole wall matching, and it is worth adding about 10% extra for cuts and edges.
